Cleanest restaurant I've ever been in! Waitress was so friendly, gave us a tour, had an endless smile, chipper disposition and great recommendations. Beautiful ambience. Menu was simple with just the right options-food and cocktails were ON POINT. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Glad we stumbled across this gem!

We were looking for lunch on our travels to the next campground and I looked on the my iPhone map app for places close by. Looking down the list I saw 5 stars on Big Fish Cafe and we saw just the outside picture when we decided it was close, let's try it! What an amazing find! It was located next to a landing to put boats in the water and park the trailer. We were greeted by a friendly host who led us into a multilevel restaurant that is an experience all by itself. The owners were actually there and one is the cook that makes the meals herself. Our waitress, Trish was cheerful and made us feel like she was excited to see us. The servings were a good size. We chose a salad and 3 pieces of fried cod to share. Plenty for both of us and delicious! Our iced tea was fresh and I could tell it was homemade like sun tea. We decided to try a special not on the menu yet - dark chocolate brulee for my husband and Huckleberry cheesecake for me. Excellent finish to our meal. Delicious food- great service at a reasonable price and a wonderful feel good experience.

Had the pleasure of meeting Ron (owner) yesterday and tasting his wife's (Jennifer) amazing food. This is truly a unique restaurant and probably top 3 on the Oregon coast. We had several appetizers including fried brie, brussels sprouts, mussels, and calamari. My wife and I shared the special of the day, a baked halibut with hollandaise. It was all amazingly prepared and presented. The building itself is beautifully constructed a d decorated, with half of it an old Coast Guard ship that served in Hawaii, and the other half expertly integrated with the ship's bones to hardly notice a transition. We highly recommend this jewel of a restaurant slightly off the beaten path in Reedsport

I loved this place's atmosphere!! The waiters were so sweet, and the entire restaurant was decked out in fish decor. Apparently the main dining room was the 4th floor on a couch ast guard ship, and if you walked up to the top then there is a ship wheel and it is just beautiful. I ordered the halibut which was okay, definitely not the best I've had on this trip, but it was still good. I however did not like the cheesecake, it was extremely dry and didn't taste sweet at all.

Food is pretty good, just think the steak was over priced but still quite good and was cooked exactly as I’d asked. The Manhattans are also pretty good and reasonably priced. They definitely have a kick so you do get your money’s worth with those. Service is very good and staff and owner are very nice and always treat us nicely. And the view is amazing as well. It’s a great place to eat, overall.

Chose the spot for its location on the river. Came away impressed by everything - service, atmosphere and food. The halibut and chips was delish, as was the blackberry pie a la mode. Our server Tish was the best, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend stopping here. There are different levels to this eatery and we noticed the young families were served on the lower level and couples were served on the upper. All with a view though and plenty of outdoor seating as well. A

Delicious food! Worth every penny! Started with a beautiful cocktail and delicious Korean fried chicken appetizer. Perfect spice level. Followed by a tasty bread and butter, then the star of the show, a seafood stew (under a pretty French name I can’t pronounce) absolutely delicious, delicate, to die for. The owners were so personable telling us their story and the stories behind the dishes. Not to mention the gorgeous view over the river. Would come here again and again!

OMG! Just eat here! The food is fabulous. The converted ship (in dry dock) is a fun laid back place with all sorts of nooks and unexpected rooms. But mostly the food! Stuffed mushrooms, a lot of meat and seafood dishes. Amazing. The service is perfect. Personal and they leave you alone. Don’t bother traveling to France for good food - just eat here.
